Elizabeth Terminal gets a makeover


A £350,000 enhancement in Elizabeth Terminal at St Helier Harbour has recently been completed.

The works programme, has seen the installation of new flooring, ceilings and lighting in areas of the terminal building together with upholstery of seats and some redecoration. The works also included new signage, passenger information screens and the reconfiguration of internal walls, which has improved the overall flow of departing passengers through central security.

The new enhancement also includes a new graffiti wall art area, depicting some of the islands distinctive land marks, it spells out the senses – ‘Feel’, ‘Taste’, ‘See’ and ‘Explore’.

Part of the design work has also seen the creation of a quirky Jersey inspired ‘Welcome’ sign in the baggage reclaim area.

A new restaurant and bar facility will open in Spring 2019 operated by catering company, Casual Dining Group, which currently operates a number of restaurants in UK airports.

The new eatery will focus on delivering an all-day offering, featuring high-quality food and refreshments, the owner hopes to target both travellers and residents, which would lead to an increased footfall in the terminal building.
